Day 3, Custer State Park.

                                      

Bison We now drove south to Custer State Park and there took the wildlife loop. “Are those Bison or Buffalo?” asks Jan. The answer comes from the guide notes, being one and the same.

Prairie Dogs chattered in alarm as we approached. A couple of deer strolled by.

At a scenic overlook we got out of the car and walked to the edge. Then the heavens opened.

We took a fast route back to Rapid City.
